What does HUND mean?

Hund is the German word for "dog".

Sara (owner of HUND) adopted her first-ever dog, Lily, while she lived in Vienna, Austria. Lily was the reason Sara got into dog training. Lily was wild! She destroyed everything she could get her teeth into, she pulled like crazy, she jumped on guests, she didn't come when called, and she just didn't listen. Sara, being a college student, did not have the money to hire a trainer to help her with Lily. So she learned everything she could about dog training. After a year of intense study and training, Lily was able to become a task-trained service dog. During this time, friends and family started asking Sara for help with their dogs too! And she hasn't stopped working with dogs since. Since 2016, Sara has dedicated her life to helping others and their dogs. The name "HUND" is a nod to that wild Austrian dog that changed everything.

Sara and Lily have traveled all over the world together. They have been able to learn from some of the best dog trainers in the business and Sara never stops learning and expanding her skills. Sara has trained in beginning to advanced obedience, agility, nose work, trick dog, rally, service dog work, and therapy dog work.  From 2019-2022 Sara was the director of a therapy dog company where she was able to see and experience many different facets of the therapy dog world. Sara and Lily have been on over 200 therapy dog visits together ranging from senior care facilities, high schools, universities, refuge centers for children, and many more.

Sara started the "pay what you can" community dog training classes because she knows what it is like to want the best for you and your dog, but not have the financial means to afford private dog training (or even traditional group training). Sara's goal is to teach others how they can build a better bond with their dog and to create a safer community for dog owners and dog lovers alike.
